We are helping Children in Royal London Hospital to engage with contemporary art
For the second year in a row, ArtSocial Foundation is fully funding Art Night festival’s education programme that takes place in The Royal London Hospital this year.
The hospital has one of London's busiest paediatric Accident and Emergency departments. In 2018, professional artist educator Sam Ayre will deliver a programme of creative workshops that introduces children staying in the ward to the world of contemporary art, through the work of Scottish artist Charles Avery.
Two pilot sessions delivered in December 2017 received very positive feedback from the RLH’s teachers and patients. The project is continuing with the funding of the Foundation with eight more sessions to take place in early 2018.
