We are funding 8 more art workshops for patients of the paediatric department at The Royal London Hospital

Following the success of the Royal London Hospital project earlier in 2018, we’re delighted to announce that we are funding 8 more workshops at the hospital in collaboration with Vital Arts Charity and Art Night Festival.

Since March, artist-educator Sam Ayres has been engaging with children at the paediatric department of the Royal London Hospital in a series of 8 contemporary art workshops. After receiving a positive response from patients, parents and doctors, we have funded the project to continue throughout 2018.

In the next series of workshops, the patients of the paediatric department aged between 4 and 16 will be working together with patients from the Elderly Care ward, particularly those with Dementia, creating art work through collaboration.

This carefully curated collaborative process will encourage engagement and conversation between generations.

The sessions will be taking place throughout the second half of 2018. We look forward to sharing more updates.
